I’m back from a Summer hiatus! I know that I promised weekly updates but to be honest I wasn’t feeling all that inspired right before my holidays and needed a break. The good news is I’ve had some time to rest, reflect, battle an unwanted bout of insomnia and I’m back with some fresh inspiration and some thoughts.
Firstly I wanted to delve into a concept of luxury that I’ve been pondering on. I know that I share a lot of material things that I like here and the main purpose of them is of course to inspire… which (I hope) they do for you and this is why you are still reading. But having a small break from the digital and social world together with fully embracing my aforementioned boring girl summer got me ruminating about what I consider to be luxury nowadays and how that perception has shifted in the last few years.
I have been reflecting on the true luxury of “things” or perhaps, rather moments and places that I consider incredibly luxurious but that actually don’t cost a thing. These include, being in a calm and peaceful place, spending time in nature, breathing fresh air, planting flowers in a small garden bed, sleeping in and waking up slowly, sitting outside and drinking a coffee, not needing to be anywhere or answer anyone in urgency, having an hour free to talk to my family. As much as I love and appreciate objects of beauty I have truly acknowledged just how important these intangible luxuries are and how much good they can do for your mind, body and soul if you slow down enough to realise.
This also got me thinking further about how good and chic it feels to have and consume less material things. To buy fewer objects and clothing, and to invest in things because you truly love them and they bring you joy…… wondering if anyone else is feeling the same?

I have a few more weeks to enjoy the Scandinavian Summer before heading to a Greek Island with my best friend. This has got me thinking about what to pack and what I am longing to wear, so I thought I would share a little round-up of 10 of my Summer essentials and fantasies.
Ocean swims are a must in the heat. I often struggle to find bikinis and swimwear that suit me and that I like. But I just discovered this brand who’s released a new collection that is right up my alley - the white one gives greek goddess energy.
I’m all about a good classic, black pair of sunglasses that go with everything and anything my long-time favourites would be these and these.
Two items that I wear non-stop are a polo top and a pair of capris. This one is classic and divine but rather pricey, I wear this one from Saks Potts religiously. These capris are it for me, they’re a little more sporty which is just how I like them and perfect paired with a killer heel.
I just love a flip flop (Aussie girl at heart) and adore these ones that Carmen has in her shop, I picked up a pair last Summer and wear them religiously when the weather allows and for a night out it has to be these babies.
Nothing beats a sexy summer dress. This one is so lightweight and versatile, could we worn over swimwear, with a button down shirt or even with a hoodie and flip-flops for a more casual look. And here is a mini dress that has a similar vibe.
I can’t go out in the sun without SPF and I was just recommended a stunning facial sunscreen that I’m currently wearing everyday by my skincare guru Romy. For body I prefer an oil based sunscreen and I’ve been using this one for years.
When I’m not meditating, swimming or eating a greek salad you’ll find me reading this and this which are top of my list right now.
I’m on the lookout for a new chic tote bag that you can just throw all of your stuff into. Preferably 1, 2 or 3.
I often travel with a small crystal and tarot cards, either the full deck or one card (depending on where I am going). My favourite crystal right now is a small kidney shaped pink sapphire that I bought in Sydney, it gives me strength and keeps me grounded.
I found this cap in Berlin at an art gallery shop and I bought it for my boyfriend but I sometimes steal it, it’s perfect.
Leaving you with my forever favourite summery vintage look and energy. I always come back to this image and look (Kate Moss at formula 1 in Prada FW99).
