Highlights from PFW
and some Spring things
Alaïa's FW25 collection has undoubtedly been the highlight of my week so far—the fabrics, the shapes, those padded shoulders, and the face-framing hoods that feel almost like protective gear (the ultimate chic women's armor). The house masterfully merges art and fashion to celebrate the essence of femininity. While the collection might not be for everyday wear, it’s undeniably mesmerizing to look at.
Pieter Mulier drew inspiration from Venus, the goddess of beauty and love, to craft these spectacular designs that honour women's strength and grace. Beyond the clothing, the accessories also made my heart skip a beat—particularly the statement footwear, which ranged from sculptural, sea urchin-like heels to unexpected, ultra-soft fluffy heels (the buttery yellow ones below were my favorite). This almost ironic contrast to the collection’s structured silhouettes added a playful yet sensual touch
Besides Alaïa, I also loved the Hodakova look below—the juxtaposition of a slinky, sexy skirt with an oversized jacket is right up my alley. The simplicity of this off-the-shoulder bodysuit from Acne, paired with those accessories, just feels effortlessly on point.
This beautiful jacket from Fidan Novruzova has also gone straight onto my wishlist. I’ve always loved a button-up front that feels timeless and elegant, but the addition of a long, draped scarf with fringe detailing at the hem adds something unexpected and fun. It’s the perfect piece for layering over an evening look or elevating a minimalist everyday outfit.
Some other non-fw-related pieces that have been on my radar this week are this sculptural vintage Italian wall lamp (conveniently on sale this weekend). Grey silk ribbed socks for that slightly preppy vibe (more affordable alternative here) that also look real good with a spring tan. I’m currently into brown suede in a big way, it feels so fresh but also adding a touch of warmth and luxury. This rug and this handbag (bank account-friendly option here) feel like the perfect additions to the home and wardrobe respectively.
