Ciao! This week we are back to regular programming with a good old fashioned what’s on my radar lately. Starting off with this delectably, buttery, Armani-esque kitchen and soft lounge of @maxwolstencroft. I recently wrote about Armani’s interiors and they’ve succeeded in planting themselves firmly into my subconscious as almost every interior image I’ve been swooning over lately seems to mirror his aesthetic/approach in one way or another
And on the topic of interiors I am currently scouring the web in search of a vintage Charlotte Perriand chaise lounge that just so happens to have become my dream chair. Please let me know if you find one!
I know that I’ve waxed lyrical for months about how I’m loving browns for everything and anything, and yes, we are in Autumn so the brown era is obviously peaking, perhaps getting a tad bit too ubiquitous. But the problem is that it really does just float my boat. A fun way of making wearing brown a little more interesting and less basic bitch could be to take a leaf out of queen Paloma’s book and contrast it with a bright blue item or accessorise with other neutral/pastel colours.
I’m actually obsessed with these MUA hairclips and own a pair in pink - they are super affordable, effective for when you actually want to do your makeup but leave them on after and you’ll be feeling and looking like Margot Tenenbaum, goals!
We are well in to September and trench coats have officially re-entered the chat. For me, there’s nothing more timeless than a trench paired with a pump, even if the weather doesn’t always want to work with me. It’s giving Belle du Jour elegance and with these two elements in play, the rest of the outfit can stay minimal. The trench and the shoe do all the work so you don’t have to.
Here’s one, two and one more preloved trenches I found, I feel that vintage/preloved is always best unless of course you have the funds for YSL. I would style my trench with this shirt, these pumps, something low key on the bottom and these earrings for a pop of colour. Or for a different vibe I’d throw on a vintage slip dress under it and these pumps.

Beyond the perfect trench coat, my mind has also been drifting toward something far more personal, my soon to be wedding ring, which my dear and talented friend Zuzana is creating for me. I can’t imagine anything more meaningful and than having such a special piece crafted by someone I admire.
On the other end of the spectrum I can’t stop fantasising about fluffy slippers. As the temperatures begin to dip, I’m longing for bringing extra cosiness into every crevice of my existence and these ones look chic enough to wear out of the house too.
The finishing touch? The most on-point manicure for autumn, and of course it’s Phoebe. I’m obsessed with the mix of tones, length and shape - it feels modern, refined but also playful.
Two other fashion moments that have made me feel good recently: Kristin Scott Thomas in that stunning Alaïa look for Marfa Journal - a reminder of who I (literally) want to be when I grow up. There’s something about her presence that feels so effortless, self-assured and elegant without trying too hard. I mean don’t get me wrong Alaïa is, always Alaïa - chic and powerful deluxe, but on her it transforms into a whole moment. Let this be a lesson to my older self on how to get dressed.
And then let’s please talk about that recent Paloma Wool campaign, which has been making waves for a damn good reason. It offered such a refreshingly honest, relatable lens on what it must mean to be both a mother and a creative force behind a fashion brand. Instead of the polished perfectionism (that often leaves us pondering is it ai or is it real?) that is relentlesy beamed into our eyeballs , this campaign felt refreshingly real. Highlighting the beautiful, chaotic overlap of personal life and professional vision. For me, it was a reminder that fashion isn’t just about flawless visuals, it’s also about reflecting the lived experience, in all its textures and nuances.
Fashion month is well underway and to be completely honest the only thing I’ve actually clocked so far has been Toteme. Ok yes, it’s heavily monochromatic and yes, it’s very minimal, but tbh I’m not mad about it. Some might argue it was too safe but sometimes I feel this can actually be a strength, to stick to what you know, especially when you do it well. It just feels very, very wearable and tbh I’d love to wear it all right now.
The cute collages are back in full force and here’s everything I actually have in high-rotation right now.
A pair of really big sunglasses that will instantly give you an aura.
I can’t put down this lipgloss that I was gifted at a Clinique event I went to recently. It gives this really nice browny sheen to the lips. I’m also enjoying the nostalgia of rediscovering some of these iconic beauty brands that I first encountered in my youth but had slipped off my radar.
Greek pharmacies are the new French pharmacies, you heard it hear first! (will dedicate a future post to this topic). But please just try this mask if you can get your hands on it and thank me later.
I discovered the perfect grey cashmere sweater, no really, she’s perfect.
Not ready to completely let go of Summer yet? These Old Celine slippers will likely soothe the transition.
I’ve been using this powder blush religiously on my eyes and cheeks, I love the reddish brown colour, kind of makes you look tired in a good way.
Leaving you with some fun info, I will be selling some really, really a class pieces from my wardrobe (I’m sacrificing some vintage Miu Miu, Prada, Loewe and Acne Studios) over on Mai - their Autumn edit goes live tomorrow at 12. So please go buy my stuff so I can fund my wedding!!
Alice <3
